Babahogsis Falmouth's new arts cafe. It's a hub for local people who knit,draw and play instruments. Simon Cory, its founder, opened Babahogsthree months ago and based its style on a Norwegian community cafe,where, “people drop in and learn something new from one another”.Visitors leave sketches and cartoons pinned to the wall, or displaytheir art in the upstairs gallery. The place resembles a lounge withbean bags, budgies and free Wi-fi.

Qualitysnacks include Moomaid ice cream, Burt's crisps, Eat Natural bars andDivine chocolate. You can ask for bowls of cereal and toast with jam,marmalade and peanut butter, or try a home-made cake. There is theusual array of Fairtrade Clipper teas, Origin coffees with flavouredsyrups and chai lattes.

Adrawing club runs 7pm on Sundays, an open music session 8.30pm onMondays and a knit club 7pm on Wednesdays. Babahogs is open 12 noon -7pm Monday to Friday, 11am - 7pm Saturday and 11am - 4pm Sunday. Ringfor gallery open evenings and live bands. 19b Well Lane, Falmouth.01326 211718.
